Which hinge design does your Primo Grill Have?

Over the years the hinge design for the Primo Oval XL and Large grills has evolved. The Smokin' Seal™ is able to accommodate the latest 2 designs. Please let us know which one your Primo Grill has. Note that the hinge cover was removed for the next 2 photos.

"Easy-lift" Hinge Design (~2016 - present)

As far as we know, this hinge design is found on all new Primo Oval grills manufactured since around 2016. Pre-trimming is currently available for both Oval Large and Oval XL grills. 

"Classic" Hinge Design (mid 2000s - ~2015)

NOTE: Currently we can pre-trim for this hinge design ONLY for the Oval XL models. We are unable to pre-trim for the Oval Large models. As soon as we obtain the correct dimensions for the Oval Large models with this hinge design, then we will be able to pre-trim for those models. If you have already placed a preorder and have an Oval Large grill and do NOT want to wait for us to pre-trim your gasket, please select "Please Send the Gasket Untrimmed" and we can ship your gasket right away. Otherwise we will hold your shipment until we are able to pre-trim your Smokin' Seal to fit your Oval Classic.

We don't know for certain when these hinges were first introduced nor exactly when they were phased out but this is how the "Classic" hinge design looks:

 

 

"Original" Hinge Design

This hinge design is what the first Primo Grills used. We are not 100% certain when these hinges were phased out but unfortunately they will not work with the current design of the Smokin' Seal.
