Smokin’ Seal™ Warranty, Safety & Care Guide

Effective Date: July 10, 2026

The Smokin’ Seal Promise

Thank you for choosing Smokin’ Seal.

We designed Smokin’ Seal to help improve the seal between the lid and base of compatible kamado-style ceramic grills. When properly installed and used as intended, Smokin’ Seal may help reduce smoke leakage, improve temperature consistency, and improve fuel efficiency.

Because every grill is unique, results may vary depending on grill condition, alignment, installation, maintenance, and cooking practices.

If you ever have a question or experience a problem, we’re here to help.

One-Year Limited Warranty

Smokin’ Seal warrants to the original purchaser that the product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the original date of purchase when:

  • Properly installed in accordance with the current Smokin’ Seal Installation Guide.
  • Used under normal residential cooking conditions.
  • Operated in accordance with the Safety and Operating Guidelines below.

For purposes of this warranty, a manufacturing defect means a defect in materials or workmanship that existed when the product was delivered and that substantially impairs its intended use.

If a purchaser believes that their Smokin' Seal product has a defect in materials or workmanship, the purchaser should contact Smokin' Seal and provide proof of purchase along with a description of the issue. Smokin' Seal may request photographs, videos, or additional information to assist with evaluating the claim. If Smokin' Seal determines that the product has a covered defect in materials or workmanship, Smokin' Seal, at its sole discretion, will either repair or replace the defective product.

If Smokin' Seal requests that the product be returned for inspection, the purchaser is responsible for all shipping costs associated with sending the product to Smokin' Seal. Upon confirmation of a covered warranty defect, Smokin' Seal will provide a repaired or replacement product, and Smokin' Seal will be responsible for shipping the repaired or replacement product back to the purchase.

Safety & Operating Guidelines

Intended Use

Smokin’ Seal is an aftermarket accessory designed for compatible kamado-style ceramic grills.

It is intended to improve the seal between the grill base and lid during normal residential smoking, roasting, baking, and grilling.

Smokin’ Seal is not manufactured, endorsed, or warranted by the manufacturer of your grill.

Temperature Guidelines

Smokin’ Seal is intended for cooking temperatures up to 450°F (232°C).

If you plan to cook above 450°F, including pizza cooks, self-cleaning burns, or other high-temperature cooking applications, remove Smokin’ Seal before preheating the grill.

After the grill has cooled completely, reinstall the gasket before your next cook.

The removable, adhesive-free design allows the gasket to be removed and reinstalled in seconds while helping maximize its service life.

Direct Flame

Smokin’ Seal is not intended for direct flame contact.

Installation & Fitment

Because ceramic grills vary due to manufacturing tolerances, age, wear, maintenance, and lid alignment, minor trimming or fitment adjustments may be required during installation.

These adjustments are considered a normal part of installation and do not indicate a manufacturing defect.

Inspection

Before each cook, inspect Smokin’ Seal for proper fit and condition.

Discontinue use if significant tearing, cracking, or deterioration is observed and contact Smokin’ Seal for assistance.

Care & Maintenance

To maximize the life of your Smokin’ Seal:

  • Remove grease and debris periodically using mild soap and water (Do NOT use any harsh chemical or chemical compounds to clean your Smokin’ Seal)
  • Avoid sharp tools during cleaning.
  • Store the gasket flat when removed from the grill.
  • Remove the gasket before cooks exceeding 450°F.
  • Reinstall only after the grill has cooled completely.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Keep your grill covered when not in use, or simply remove the gasket and place in the bag provided.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Smokin’ Seal’s liability under this warranty is limited to replacement of the product or refund of the original purchase price.

Smokin’ Seal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of food, fuel, cooking time, profits, damage to the grill, revenue, business interruption, or property damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the product.

Except as expressly provided in this Limited Warranty, Smokin’ Seal disclaims all other express or implied warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, except where such disclaimers are prohibited by applicable law.

Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. As a result, some of the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
